Woodman Thunderbridge Wedding

This was an amazing wedding at the Woodman Inn, Thunderbridge.

We’d been looking forward to it for a very long time.

We’d met the bride and groom on a free engagement shoot with us and, although they’d been very nervous, we had a great time and got some amazing pictures.

Autumn wedding at The Woodman Inn

The venue was decked out for autumn and this complemented the wedding details beautifully.

Guests arriving

The bar area downstairs, and the beer garden outside, were a great location for the guests to arive and greet the groom.

Bridal prep in the rooms upstairs

One of the great features of The Woodman is that it has a large area for bridal prep that is close to the ceremony room.

So enough space for lots of bridesmaids, family and suppliers.

Wedding ceremony

With a lot of tears, this was an emotional ceremony.

Wedding drinks in The Orangery

Across the road and down by the river is The Orangery. This separate building is a great location for your drinks reception, with a dedicated bar and great outdoor space.

The guests had a great time there, messing about having a laugh and enjoying the day.

We used the time there to get some group photos and portrait pictures.

Then we were back inside, capturing the candid photos and real moments that we enjoy.

Wedding breakfast and speeches

While everyone had been in The Orangery, the venue staff transformed the upstairs room at the inn, ready for the wedding breakfast.

The tables had so many amazing touches by the bride and groom, including polaroid photos and other momentos.

The speeches were hilarious and emotional at the same time.

Evening reception

For the evening reception the dance floor was, in a word, mad.

Once the sunglasses and illuminated sticks came out we didn’t stop clicking the shutter for hours. So many amazing moments and lovely people having a great time.
