Should I do a first look?

bride and groom first look

As you know, traditionally in the UK, when two people are getting married, they only see each other for the first time when they’re both at the ceremony.

But you may want to arrange a first look. This is where you meet up earlier in the day, in a more private moment. This can be a special time where you’re able to spend some time with each other before seeing all your guests.

Or you may want to arrange a time where your bridal party see you for the first time. Maybe if they’ve not already seen the dress!

Or a first look with one or both parents can be a very emotional moment, when they see their child about to walk down the aisle.

There are some pictures below of some amazing moments that we’ve been lucky enough to witness, so you can decide if it’s right for you.

A first look with your partner

If you’re both traveling to the ceremony together, or you’re both getting ready at the same location, then this can be a beautiful moment for the two of you.

If your bridal party hasn’t seen your dress then you can all enjoy this big reveal together.

Whenever we have the privilege of photographing these moments there are always happy tears.
